One of my favorite touches for lekku is to wear a patterned see-through fabric over them. While you can buy decorative mesh or lace fabric, I've found it makes life a lot easier to just buy a pair of.... trouser socks! Cut off the toes and finish that edge, cut them down to size if you need to, and you have pre-shaped lekku covers that slide on and look great! You can also cut them to lay flat and have matching fabric for other pieces of the costume, or wear them on sections of your arms.

Trouser Socks? Do you mean stockings? :oops: Not sure if that's regional language or what.

Pam's in CA, I'm in NY - they call 'em "trouser socks" here both for men's and women's. Women's tend to be knee-high and sheer with pretty patterns and textures.
