I posted pictures of my 1.0 Talon a little while ago and this is now in the prossess of being ungraded! yay! So I thought I'd share some pictures as I go along.. it all has to be done by oct. 2.. wish me luck ^^

I'll start with the lekku first. I already had my Pam-lekku, and I like the curve and fit og them so much.. but Talon really needs longer lekku.. so I thought I'de extend them.
Luckely I found some red vinyl at my local fabric store in the exact same shade of red, and extended my pem lekku by cutting away about 15cm of the latex in the middle. Then I used my red vinyl to make a new "middle" and glued the tips/ends at the bottom, stuffing them and gluing them back at the main head.
I was going to use liquid latex to hide the edges, but it didn't stick to the vinyl.. anyway, with the same shade and the tattoes, it doen't really show that well.

Not really that good lighting, but it's dark out and I'm useing my phone.

I also put the headgear on, this hasn't been modified, just painted dark gary instead of black.

MY sexy Talon head. As I have little free space in my apartment I might aswell make a pretty head sculpture, seeing as the lekku will be displayed on my shelf.

Both to show hos the headgear curve around the lekku.

Here you can see where the latex meet the vinyl, and the seams that go down the middle. A little blurry, but you get the idea.

Now, tell me what you think?

Wow that looks great!! Its a shame the liquid latex doesn't stick.

Wow! Adding the vinyl turned out really well. Are the lekku heavy now? How do they move, and can they be wrapped around your neck or put in front of your shoulders?

Thanks :)
They are a little heavy now, but nothing I can't deal with. They have a little bownsing in them, but are rather stiff.. so they don't bent around the neck or infront of my shoulders. I would imagine if you used some thin flexible fabric, like lycra, and painted it with latex they would move around more. Maybe I'll try that another time.

That's very helpful. I'm trying to find a way to make mine moderately flexible but still fleshy-looking.

So, I've finished my new Darth Talon and wore it this weekend at Coscon in Oslo, Norway. I wasnæt sure if I should enter the cosplay contest or not, but I did.. and guess what.. I won!!! :D It was so awesome to stand beside two other great cosplayers and be named the winner. Thank you so much people of Coscon 2010!!
Anyway, you here want to see pictures ^^ but keep in mind these where all taken late in the day and when I got back home, so the makeup and my postiore is a bit shabby..
