Unread post My Mission Vao project.
Hello there ! Girl form Norway reporting in.
So as many others I'm new at this twi'lek costuming, but as for Star Wars costuming it will be my 4th project.
I've allways wanted to make a twi'lek, and after alot of investigating I've decided that Mission Vao is the way to go!

So far I've been sewing the vest and this is how it looks at the moment:

I would be greatful for all feedback and help I could get when it comes to bodypaint, shoes. etc. :)

Thanks !

The vest looks great! I've never tried to sew a vest... was it very difficult?

I like the color match. You found a fabric that is really close to the color in the references!

Thank you! No, infact it's quite easy, even for me who only have sewn one jumpsuit and pillows in my life. So I'm pretty sure that everyone could do it. I bought a vest template at first and made some new measurments around it to get the right shape. I also did the fabric double to get that heavy feeling around it. :)

Hehe, I bought white fabric and dyed it. Had to do it twice to get the colour I wanted, but I'm very happy with the result. So thank you:)

Mission Vao is my project too! She is one of my favorites. I haven't got very far with her yet but i am working on ideas and how to get things done for her outfit. I must say though your vest looks great! I have no skills in sowing so i don't think i can do that route. I may make an attempt on it but it won't come out well i think. I'm going to keep an eye on your post to see your progress and check out any ideas for help that you give or others give! Best of luck with your outfit. Can't wait to see the finished outcome! :D

Thanks alot for the nice feedback. I'll try to update as much as I can and if people are interested I could take pictures while I work to illustrate. I hope I can help the ones who are making this costume themselves. :)

I'll try to complete the vest during this week.
