Unread post CV Cesi Eirriss
Hi!

I just wanted to present my self.
I was the Cesi at Celebration V.

For my first try with a Twi'lek I think it went rather well.

Fabric (Lycra/spandex) lekkus to be able to bend one around my neck.
Not much to paint, so no big challenge but to match the color of the lekkus.
I used Mehron "cream" (the one you buy in tubes)
Mixed two colors: Green and lime.
Used setting powder to finish.
It lasted all day (inside the convention center, becase of the A/C) but in the "mustache" area, I tend to sweat more, therefor, make up kind of melted there.

Still, I need to make a more covering headdress, because my hairline was visible.

I was furious with my chestbox, because the hose got loose and had to hold it with the belt, and spent all day trying to disguise it putting my hand over it.

In the end, it was fun at the time I took off my costume, 'cause I only had paint in my face and it looked like I was wearing a cucumber o avocado mask, hahaha!

I wish there were better alternatives in water based paints, because I am severly allergic and can't stand the alcohol based. And I live in a tropical island so here it's summer and humid all year long over 80 degrees, and the A/Cs at local conventions are as good as not having them at all; The last time (recently) I did Shaak Ti, the paint looked like sunburn, with spots... I really hated it.

I bought the suit and then resized it, because it was XL and I'm small.

But if you know how to sew, all you need is a long sleeve shirt and a pant as guide to make the suit. Rebel Legion and Padawansguide have the pattern design so you can make the correct modifications. It's what I did the first time. This is my second flight suit. The first was from a cotton fabric, it had the color but the fabric was too thin, kind of "see through" at some point.

:) thank you all!
Well, my lekku are made of fabric following a tutorial I found in the internet, I think is from Darth Kyttee (Darth Talon)
I used lycra/spandex and teddy bear filling, no wire, 'cause I like my lekku to be movable and swinging.
