 Costume Con Has anyone ever been to Costume Con? I just learned about it at StarFest yesterday, it's a traveling convention JUST for costuming!! They have a couple of cool contests, how-to panels, and do field trips to local historical spots and fabric stores.
2011 is pretty soon, Apr 29 - May 2 in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey
2012 is May 11 - 14 in Tempe, Arizona
2013 is May 17 - 30 in Denver, CO (I'll be there!!) and I know they're already planning on trying to get Denver Fabrics in the dealer room and trying to plan a trip to the Molly Brown House (as in, the Unsinkable Molly Brown)
They are a little more expensive than other cons, but it's a four day event (fri-mon), and they have a smaller turnout, but it seems pretty cool!!!

Re: Costume Con I've known about it for years, but have never had the opportunity to attend. It sounds really interesting and if it ever comes down to NOLA or the surrounding area, I'll be sure to attend.

Re: Costume Con Awwww! I live in New Jersey so I could go to this years, but I don't have any one to go with.  I'm kind of alone here in South Jersey as far as costuming friends go. Or else I would love to check it out.
