174 (up 2 lbs) and I know exactly where it came from: convention weekends are never kind to me because I get lazy. I'm not saying that to be falsely modest or anything, I get SUPER lazy at conventions. Why yes, please, I WILL have that bagel the size of my head, it is far more convenient than leaving the site to get a salad. (Rule of thumb: never eat any item as big as or bigger than your head. I broke this rule a lot over the weekend.)

Ah well. I'm back to proper eating and will surely reap the rewards soon enough.

175.6 - up again, 1.6 lbs. Keeping my hip 'rested' means a whole lot of not doing anything, and I haven't the willpower to eat less than 1300 calories per day. I really miss my 'me' time on the treadmill or using the Kinect, too.

Okay, I'm done QQing. I see my doctors at the end of the month; perhaps I can return to normal levels of activity soon.

Po poo! Having a hurt hip is no fun! I found that out this week, so I can sympathize with you. It is really hard to not overeat when you have nothing to do at all. There has to be reason we costume and play computer games :) .

I'll pray you can start exercising again soon!

Ouch, I'm so sorry to hear we are gimp-sisters!

On the plus side, it's apparently safe to lose up to 50 lbs in a one year period and people who exercise regularly 'snap back' into fitness and weight loss when they've had to be inactive, so I can look forward to feeling all accomplished again in a few months. That's a nice feeling.

ouch. hope the news from the doctor is good. I don't know if I could just sit around and do nothing. I couldn't do that when I was prescribed bed rest with my pregnancy, and I'm sure I couldn't do it now with a toddler!

Anyway, hang in there and since you're already a regular excersizer, you'll bounce back in no time!

To quote Dr. Henry "Beast" McCoy, oh my stars and garters!

I've spent a heck of a lot of time this week practicing choreo with live steel (read 'way heavier than my aluminum lightsaber') and then there was the DK event where I was a Jedi screensaver, doing katas and blossoms whenever the audience got restless.

I hurt so much - but my hip, my evil hip, is the part of me suffering least.

Additionally, I've finally been accepted by the surgeon I wanted (and waited nearly a year for) for my breast reduction. That in turn will mean more activities that I enjoy. Before I got busty, I loved running and volleyball and basketball, and fully expect to return to them.

It's been a good week.

That's awesome. Congratulations! (On the doctor part, not the hurting part!)

Pam :-)
