Unread post My Hera WIP
Hi there!

I'm in the making of a Hera for Celebration Europe in London this year. I intend to get accepted at the Rebel Legion. Pictures and stuff are on my public facebook costuming page (no need to register!!!).

I've already got the Lekku from my "old" green twi'leks and will use those. I still need to change the pattern but that's the final thing I'll be doing. Same goes with the head-wrap-thingy :-)

For the vest I used craft foam. Rebel Legion says it's leather so I made it look like leather. I'll use the same material for the headphones and the shoulder pads.

For the pants I used a slightly elastic fabric and made them from scratch, no patterns or else. They stick to the vest with velcro and there are two hidden zippers on both sides; none on the front. The fly is actually a dummy but the pockets are real ones. There's another pocket behind the leather application on the front top of the pants. It's made of faux leather. The belt is still missing but I've got the material on hand.

The boots are ankle boots and the foot guards are made of thinner craft foam. The foot guards are glued to the boots. The spats are made from leather and are closed all around, seam in the back. They stick to the boot with velcro underneath in front of the heel.

Shirt is also done but I'm not that happy with the outcome - there are no pictures, yet.

I think I actually prefer how the craft foam looks as leather vs using a fake leather fabric, this looks more real to me. How did you paint it like that? A watered down weathering sort of method? It looks Awesome!
